Favruh was worshipped. He was just put on a pedestal. I never felt he was the best in the league at any point.

You know outside of the ring Puzz is very Brett Favruh stat wise. 70,000 yards, ratings, longetivity. Despite my ratings bias I think he tops my list, followed by Delcorio. Favruh was media hyped to death. I guess we have our owned brand of hype and Puzz really didn't get that much during his career. Thoughts on Favruh comparison? Funny you say that because along with my Elway comparison Favre was the guy her reminded me of. I think the big question here is how important compiled stats are. There is no denying that Puzz put up massive numbers and was quality his entire career. He did not post a great QBR, but mush like Joel and others said I always felt like they were a legit threat in a one off game in the playoffs for sure and that was always his "will to win" IMO. Anyway, these are the types of talks I think is really beneficial. Much like the Shelton and Grayvil discussion.

For the record, I do not believe Puzz is a HOFer, but he was and still is one of the players that I enjoyed following his career that I had no connection to. Interestingly enough, his career matches up with the NFL equivalent of Favre: www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FavrBr00.htmLong Career: check Bowl Winner: check MVP: check Holds/held major passing records during his career/at time of retirement: check
