We are back at it fellas. Going forward I am going to be a little more ruthless moving forward. Real life happens, especially the way the world is right now. If selectors go AWOL, I will send a PM and give it a day or 2. But I really don't want the process to derail waiting on 1 guy. So nothing personal, if someone is gets caught up with RL, we will move on with those selectors who are able to concentrate on the process and give it their time. If necessary we will adjust the percentage required to enter the HOF.
Recently discussed players....
CB Jalen Collins NT Leroy Cheuse CB Jake Wooden WR Clayton Battle TE Kurt Downs TE Earnest Garvey TE Herman Bundy LB Tracey Ford G Nicolas Fox QB Dan Puzzouli
Some players entering the process
WR Al Shelton WR Owen Grayvil C Toby Van Verth T Corwin Conley DT Butch Stone TE Ken Walters DE Brendan Hayes S Clyde Morley
Let me know if your intention is to continue. Likewise, any other GMs who would like to be part of the process, now is the time to say.

Puzz versus Teddy.
Does longetivity and raw yardage overcome passer ratings? I am saying by a narrow margin, but still not sure Puzz is a HOFer. He just played a long time.
How will Delcorio be judged with a flashy passer rating, and no ring?

Just an FYI, the Teddy post was made in jest to fuck with you.
I think longevity, a ring, along with his passing records and status in RZB make him a fringe HOFer as voted on by the GMs.
As for Delcorio, the numbers speak for themselves. He kinda reminds me of a RL Dan Marino, great QB who never got a ring.

I think what made Puzz so special is that he was just one of those players that always had his team in the thick of things. He always reminded me of one of those players that could just will his team go victory.
I think he’s such a part of RZB lore that he is worthy to be enshrined.

I would go..
1. Puzz 2. Delcorio 3. Teddy
I think Puzz is borderline, but my guess is he gets in at some point.

Entering the process in 2039
RB Demetrius Karczewski - 9th all time rushing yards, 6th rush TD's, 7th in 100 yard games. 1 x 1st all pro, 1 x 2nd all pro. One ring RB Kim Henson - 3rd all time in 100 yards rushing, 4th in yards and TD's, 6th in attempts, OROY and 2 x 1st all pro
I like Henson over Crazy Ivan and maybe third best RB of all time. 4.99 yards per rush is elite but not much of receiver. In same group as the likes of Upshaw and Carlson for me.
TE Ken Walters - 2nd in yards all time amongst TE, 3rd in catches and TD's. 1 x 1st team all pro, 2 x 2nd team all pro.
Well behind Bo Moss and in the same group as Bundy, Baysinger and Downs.
WR Owen Grayvil - 2nd all time in receiving yards and TD's, 3rd in receptions but also 4th all time in drops. Just 1 x 1st team all pro but 4 x 2nd team all pro. One ring WR Al Shelton - 2nd all time in receptions, 3rd in yards and 4th in TD's. 4 x 1st team all pro and two rings.
These guys should be grouped together for me. Question is, are they 1st ballot? Could be an argument over this one. But bear in mind that Sinclair will enter the conversation down the line.
C Toby Van Verth - 5th in KRB and KRO among Centers, nice block % of 39.3 and sack % of 0.5 is among the elite. 2 x 1st team all pro
I think he's up there with the likes of Atlanta C Howard but not quite the level of Hitchcock, Rogers and Polk.
DE Branden Hayes - 3rd all time in sacks, 4th in hurries, 5th in blocked passes. 1 x 1st team all pro, 2 x 2nd team all pro. One ring
The same bracket as Dominic Murray for me who went 2nd year of eligibility. Future Hofer for sure.
Players previously discussed
QB Dan Puzzuoli - 1st in attempts, completions, yards, TD's. 2 x MVP and 1 x Bowl MVP. 1 x 1st all pro and 1 x 2nd team all pro. One ring. (2nd year of eligibility) QB Ralph McNeil - 2nd in yards, 3rd in attempts, completions, TD's. 1 x MVP, 1 x Bowl MVP. 1 x 1st team all pro. One ring. (6th year of eligibility)
I'm throwing McNeil in there with Puzz as they had similar careers over 18 seasons. Puzz probably edges it but I think they both edge out the likes of Fjelstad. Question is, are either HoF worthy?
TE Reuben Baysinger - 4th in catches and yards amongst TE, 2nd in TD's. 3 x 1st team all pro and 2 x 2nd team all pro. Two rings. (7th year of eligibility). TE Herman Bundy - 2nd in catches and 3rd in yards. 8th in TD's. 1 x 1st team all pro, 1 x 2nd team all pro. (4th year of eligibility). TE Kurt Downs - 8th in yards, 5th in TD's. 1 x 1st team all pro, 1 x 2nd team all pro. (6th year of eligibility).
I like Baysinger more than the other two and is the only one comparable to Walters. Downs has the YPC and YPT but Marlowe also has good numbers there.
WR Clayton Battle - 4th in catches and yards, 5th in TD's. 2 x 1st team all pro, 3 x 2nd team all pro. Three rings. (4th year of eligibility)
Battle puts the likes of Skip Samuels, Odell Beckham and Rickey Davison argument to bed. But does his numbers hold up with the new crop?
G Nicholas Fox - 1st in KRO, 2nd in KRB amongst guards. 3rd in pancakes. 0.5 sack %. 2 x 1st team all pro, 3 x 2nd team all pro. (3rd year of eligibility)
This is a tough one for me. His block % of 36.5 is disappointing.
DE Corbin Blake - 4th in sacks, 6th in hurries and QBkd amongst DE's. 3 x 1st team all pro, 1 x 2nd team all pro. (3rd year of eligibility)
Nice career but I think he's buried below Hoff, Murray and Hayes with the likes of Kempthorne ready to overtake. Gonna be tough for Blake to get in
DT Cheuse - 1st in hurries, 3rd in blocks, 4 in QBkd and 5th in tackles and sacks amongst DT's. 5 x 1st team all pro and 1 x 2nd team all pro is impressive. (3rd year of eligibility)
I think he's a good third behind Brown and Donald who both made it. All pro nods are impressive. Could be in the mix.
ILB Tracy Ford - 2nd in tackles, 4th in assists. 2nd in FF among ILB. DROY. 3 x 2nd team all pro. (3rd year of eligibility).
Knopf got in in his third year. Does Ford get in now or does he wait another year?
CB Brent Burton - 2nd in Picks amongst CB's. 4 x 1st team all pro and 2 x 2nd team all pro is nice. 78.1 PDPct is a little underwhelming. (4th year of eligibility). CB Jake Wooden - 9th in Picks amongst CB's. 1 x 2nd team all pro. Three rings. 2nd all time in passes defensed with a 79.0 PDPct (3rd year of eligibility).
Both have their argument but I won't be shouting from the rooftops for either. Yet to be really impressed by any CB since Chris Harris.
S Jerome Banks - 2nd in tackles amongst safeties. 7th all time in assists and 8th all time in Picks. 4 x 1st team all pro and 2 x 2nd team all pro. (10th year of eligibility).
Still the best Safety in RZB for me but his star is fading. The likes of McAllister and maybe Keeling are coming up soon. Darren Dominguez looks out of the picture.

Anything less than 1st ballot would be a huge injustice for Grayvil and Shelton IMO

Anything less than 1st ballot would be a huge injustice for Grayvil and Shelton IMO I'm not so sure Rob. Great players but you can argue that Dalton Dunn has raised the bar even further than Sinclair, Grayvil and Shelton. If Dunn carries on his projection, he'll be way out in front.

Battle is the Teddy of WRs. He is not nearly in the class of the top tier WRs and should not even be put in the conversation IMO
