Like all good things FOF related, it's coming straight from the mind of Jim Gindin to our very eyes. The QOTD is something which passed me by when I first picked up the game, mainly because the UI felt unnavigable to me initially. However after hearing Squirrel, Ben and Quik mention it in one of their videos and Ben say that it releases every day, the same to everyone and that the files are encrypted so as not to be found in the game files I became intrigued. Since that time I've checked it virtually every day - sharing it with FOF people I speak to regularly and pondering on it's meanings. I thought maybe I'd share them in here from time to time (or even more regularly depending on how much traction this gets) and I'd love to hear what people think about them - what do you think they mean? Which are your favourites? Do you even like them? etc etc Either way, here's the first one from today 23/05. Reckon this is saying don't buy into PdPct too much?

Similar to the QB who completed 65% of his passes and had a 6.25 avg per attempt Stats can be misleading, depending on how they are interpreted and how deep you look into them.

Love this Mellman! I actually had a goal of screenshotting this every day for 365 days. I gave up because I missed so many. I'd be down with chipping in if we're not worried about the dates being in order. This is one of my favorites:

I thought this one was interesting as it seemed to go against Zach's research. False flag from Jim?

I think they're just quotes he found interesting, several probably contradict each other from a strategy standpoint once they are all compiled. Then again, that 2nd down run vs. a second down pass, and the success rates of each.. Who knows. I think it depends on what your philosophy is more than anything. A well executed, precise philosophy can beat anyone I believe.

This is cool.
That era of doing youtube vids with the big dogs of FOF was loads of fun, I have to say.
Should have done with Rob about trading, one with Nick about whatever was on his mind, one with Elijin about the UDFA stage (that guy is a magician) and I'm sure plenty of others.
One day when I get some time I want to rekindle it. If anyone has fun ideas ping me.

One day when I get some time I want to rekindle it. If anyone has fun ideas ping me. Oh for sure and if I can just say for me, as a newcomer to the game, I've given them all multiple listens. At first I had no idea what was being discussed really, I just knew that I wanted to consume content around the game as I was so infatuated with it (especially once discovering multiplayer) but the real value has been as I've gone back for a second, third or fourth time. Once I'd better understood a certain concept and felt ready to tackle another these videos just had so many useful ideas flowing freely in the form of discussion and yeah, they've been very helpful to me. If I've gotta do something now (like trying to better understand chemistry as I've neglected that since I started (I know I know, for shame!!)) or hell, even gameplanning and playbook stuff for the new season ahead I'll stick the second episode with Ben and Quik on as there is good stuff in there that I need reminding of constantly. It would be great to see new entries into the series when the time is right for all involved. I always remember a concept that was mentioned half jokingly but I think there is serious value in it (for as much as experienced vets are still willing to share their knowledge) you'd mentioned 'The Art and Science of bidding in Free Agency'.

This is a nice one from Cass Timberlane, I've lamented the lack of a true stud linebacker so far in my FOF career but perhaps this is suggesting a shift in perspective on that one and that it should be more of a revolving door position.

It would make sense that the number of hits a defensive guy takes enhances his stat decline and his chance of retirement
