I have you a great suggestion. Let the committee nominate players and create a poll for GMs to vote. Completely takes your bias out of it as it drastically reduces the impact of your influence as it Carrie’s the weight of Jesus Christ for these guys. I’ve always thought the process for nominations was vastly superior to the actual vote. Sorry, I did not mean to edit your post. I’m responding from my phone and I thought I had hit quote.

"Maybe your ties with the player are making you act like an unreasonable lunatic. But I love you all the same on a personal level."
I couldn't have said, it better myself. 100% spot on. Clown tirade over.

Blades had a very similar career to Puzzuoli. Same kind of win record, top five in lots of stats, similar QBR etc.
Puzzuoli got in after five years. If Blades is still around the same stats that Puzz is in five years time, he'll get my vote. He isn't first ballot.
The process is fine. There is enough GMs voting to prevent bias.

Then where is the love for Smith? I am completely outraged, what utter BS. You guys are just out to wind me up is this kinda message too soon to be seen as humour lol

I haven't even looked at Smith. Would you like me to? Noooo, it will just fill me with the utter sadness I had that I traded him to the Saints, and they ruined his career

I haven't looked at the in game HOF for a few years real time. Last time I looked the in game evaluation mechanics were broken. In the same way the game struggles to evaluate game and season award winners.
Just looking at QB you have guys like Stan Feigenbaum, 83.3 QBR, 81-114. Lonnie Garrison, 83.4, 113-138.
At RB, Jared Thomas, 8361 yards, 3.89 ypc.
I imagine most of the guys we discuss will get in. I guess its up to you what you buy in to. It does lower the bar, but the problem the evaluation mechanics are questionable. I probably won't look again for another few years real time personally.

All I know is, the world's really gone off the rails when Shane drops more F-bombs in casual conversation than I do.

Just looking at the new guys. Although the QBs are names we won't forget in a hurry, I don't think any of them are HOF level. The T McDonald was good, but again below that HOF level for me. DE Woods name may possible come up down the line, but certainly not a 1st ballot. DE/DT Guderian a bit more tricky having played both positions. It looks to me like roughly 50% of each. 5x All Pro at DT. I think this guy was really good. Gut instinct is he is a HOFer. The stats really take some digesting with that positional split. S Kassell. I think he has a legit shot at a 1st ballot. In fact I am pretty sure he will get my vote. All-time interception leader. Excellent PDPct with good PD volume. 2nd all-time in tackles amongst Safeties. Superb player. Bumping this to get back on topic. Let's try and get moving guys.

I am happy to accept Guderian as a DT for the most part
5 x 1st Team All Pro, 2nd in tackles, 1st in sacks, joint 1st in blocks, 1st in hurries, 1st in QBkd amongst DT
Malcolm Brown was 2nd year of eligibility Aaron Donald took nine years
Did Leroy Cheuse make it?
I think Guderian has a very good chance of being elected. Maybe playing at DE will effect him in regards to 1st year eligible.
