Todays entry 19/06: Not sure what to make of this one really? Not sure if this comes anywhere close to what Jim was thinking when he added this one, but one scenario comes to mind. Let's say another GM spots a player on the FA list that I formerly had. That GM, the Evaluator in this case, wants some insight into this players performance beyond the bars and playing stats. Maybe they both look good to him such that it's not apparent why the player was released. He comes to me, the "position coach" for that background; i.e., "tell me why you cut him", etc. I think this rarely happens in FOF. But if indeed another GM did so, I, and I would think most everyone else, having nothing to lose at that point would be forthright about the player.

i think this one refers to the bump in scouting accuracy for the position group that matches the OC/DC/HC expertise. sometimes the overall rating doesn't change, but the individual bars are quite different.

Wow, I didn't even know that was a thing, so if your OC specialises in Wide Receivers then their bars will appear more accurately/different from if you had an OC that specialised in another position group! TIL!

Todays entry 21/06: French Philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre has a number of quotes relating to football, none more true than this one. I think this is very insightful. We got rolled today by San Francisco. But if they hadn't been on the field, I think we would have had a chance to win it.

Yeah it's a good one isn't it - that's the spot we're all looking to get to I guess.

+1 My beloved Arsenal just had their best season in the best part of 20 years and a bunch of the people that sit around me somehow ended up disappointed with the season because the club didn't win the premier league - something that not a soul could possibly have expected at the start of the season. One of my economics professors at university told us once in a lecture that there are two ways to get richer - one way is to get more stuff and another way is to expect less stuff. That sounded right to me
