baseball is a bit of a girls game as well. Just saying! Funny you say that as there’s is almost no leagues for women to play baseball. They all play softball instead. isn't it the same thing?

#1 - very stoked to have one or two crazy great game-changer punters in the next NFL draft class, make it so I want that whether it's my team or not #2 - always love those arguments about how so-and-so from my country/culture would be FAR better at your big money game, but they just don't have any interest in American money so they stick to their goatherder thing or whatever ... surely one of these awesome world-beater kickers from the world of rugby or whatever would suffer through making $5m US/yr for a while just to show up the rotten yanks, right? There's a reverse argument on 2 that I think is really interesting...which is do we really think the winner of the 100m at the olympics is the fastest runner in the world...or is it more likely that whoever that person is actually became an NFL wide receiver or D back and so never seriously tried to focus on 100m sprinting. I think it's more likely than not that the latter is the case most of the time. Probably excluding Usain Bolt from that.

yeah, i personally wouldnt move to detroit in order to double my wage, when my entire family is in the uk. Especially if i was told the new job i was getting, i had no prior experience, and they could sack me whenever they please... I’ve lived near Detroit, Hildebrand too, and most of it is actually pretty nice. I bet the places outside of the stadium can be nice. But being a Lion? oof.

I think it's more likely than not that the latter is the case most of the time. Probably excluding Usain Bolt from that. I'm just gonna throw some random NFL vs track athletes stuff in here: DK Metcalf, Seattle WR ran a 4.33 40 at the combine, then tried for Olympics at the 100. www.cnn.com/2021/05/10/sport/dk-metcalf-100m-sprint-tokyo-olympics-nfl-spt-intl/index.htmlOne of the takeaway quotes from DK, "They do this for a living. This is very different from football speed." Jacoby Ford, who ran 4.28 s in the 2010 NFL Combine, had a collegiate best of 6.51 s in the 60-meter dash (outside the top-40 of the all-time lists) Not trying to prove you wrong here, obviously your point about them not training for sprinting is the main one, just thought some of these comparisons were interesting. and just to kick the rubgy hornet's nest: In 2013, rugby union Carlin Isles recorded a time of 4.22 at a Detroit Lions facility during a workout.

I'd love a kicker named Darcy O'Toole.

I think it's more likely than not that the latter is the case most of the time. Probably excluding Usain Bolt from that. I spent a bit of time looking at this stuff in the past. You get a lot of times thrown around, but there is a big difference between hand time and electronic timing. All these mythical Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders hand times appear to be garbage. You can research what they were running as sprinters at the time electronically as college athletes, and while the times are impressive they were not elite world class sprinters. Distances shorter than 100m were being run and they were not blowing other high end college athletes away. I believe they ran PBs of 10.37 and 10.26 back in the day, whilst in college. Considering 10.00 was a world class time back in the late 80s, you could make the argument that they could of got in that that region if they dedicated themselves to athletics. But how about the other college athletes, that they couldn't beat? They never hit the big time, so maybe Bo and Deion gave athletics a fair shot and exhausted their upside? Probably even faster back then was Darrell Green, who won numerous NFL's fastest man competitions and ran an electronically time 10.08 100m in college as a 23 years old. Back in the 60s Bob Hayes won an olympic gold medal and then became a WR for the Cowboys whilst still in his mid 20's. But on the flip side Christian Coleman, the 60m meter dash world record holder ran an electronically timed 4.12 40 yard dash just to prove a point. On a football field, no blocks. Significantly quicker than John Ross' combine record of 4.22.

Kind of, except they use a different ball, different bats, throw underhand, among some other rule changes. so it's kind of a sexist game of baseball?

I notice my guy Araiza didn't get taken in the first round of the NFL draft last night.
Let's see where he goes. I doubt it will be tonight but I will be keeping an eye.
Also shout going out to any of my fellow European RZBers if they stayed up for the draft last night. I've got my approach nailed these days...go to bed very early, wake up for 1am, back to bed 4.45am, back awake for work in the morning no issues

Round 3 maybe seems more realistic for earliest he could be taken.
