Koski and Hatch look strong candidates for the final 5.
I think Sinclair, Shelton, Grayvil and Battle end any of the old guard WRs hopes.
TE Downs doesn't have big raw numbers but he was a pretty unique player due to his big play abilities.
Polk and Rogers both have strong cases. They beat out Plenus IMO.

QB Bridgewater: borderline. i like this player. WR Samuels: no...slightly above average to my standards. too many drops WR Beckham: no...even worse than samuels. TE Kurt Downs: very good, but not great in my opinion. T Ramon Hatch: y ...nice performance overall C Rogers: y...no doubt C Polk: n . rogers beat him, and not two centers in the hall in the same class, please. not even close to player value compared to QB/WR/DE/CB/T K Rebensdorf: no way...81% on FGs??? 65% on 40+ ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?has he kicked any game winners on bowls/championship games? LB Carpenter: no...it took me a while to find him in the stats list which says it all. S Banks: yes...my favorite player on this list. S Vernon Koski: no. he's behind banks, no doubt. would have liked better PD performance for a FS.

btw i don't mean to offend anyone with my analysis above -- just my dry and quick opinions, and i have no idea who they played for :-)

K Rebensdorf: no way...81% on FGs??? 65% on 40+ ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?has he kicked any game winners Rob would know better but I remember Rebensdorf being pretty clutch in the playoffs. I know he helped Rob win a couple Bowls with clutch kicking.

QB Bridgewater: I think we've crossed this bridge(water). Going to be a no. I think we're done talking about Teddy.
WR Samuels: I've changed my mind on Samuels. His career numbers are great but his individual seasons are lackluster and pale in comparison to the next crop of WRs that will be eligible. So no.
WR Beckham: Also a no. Great career but, like Samuels, the current group of guys are much better.
TE Kurt Downs: Very good but not a hall of famer.
T Ramon Hatch: Yes. One of the best ever.
C Rogers and C Polk: Yes for both of them. They're numbers are too close for me to put one in and not put the other in.
K Rebensdorf: Great career and the longevity and his time on the Steelers sets him apart stats wise, but I don't see a hall of fame career here.
LB Carpenter: This one is a negative. He was a very good linebacker but I don't see a hall of famer here.
S Banks: Yes. RZB has a couple really good safeties and Banks is arguably the best.
S Vernon Koski: Good but not as good as Banks so that's a no for me.
C Silas Plenus: Last name sounds too much like Penis. That's a no from me. He's also a few steps behind guys like Hitchcock, Rodgers, and Polk.
DE Dominic Murray: Yes. Nick claims he's not on Hoffman's level but his career PRPct is actually 2 points higher. Those two guys are clearly a class above all the other RZB DEs.
G Earnest Nixon: Didn't realize what a great career this guy has had. Only 30 sacks surrendered in 188 games is amazing at the guard position. Yes.
LB Gustavo Unruh: Great career but he's lost in the mix of a lot of really good LBs with similar numbers. No.
LB Aiden Ward: Poor man's Austin Parrish, which isn't a bad thing. A no for now.
CB Devonte Daniels: I'm glad to see Daniels retire as he's given me enough grief over the years, but I don't see how he could get in before Jalen Collins, who I believe is a Hall of Famer.

The next stage of this process is for us each to nominate a "final 5". We always take time out for the draft, and now a few of us will be preoccupied with the season preview. No real hurry, but if anyone wants to work towards their final 5 that would be a positive move. I am writing for the preview so might not get my head back in to this for a week or so.

Not got my 5 yet... but I can’t bring myself to say yes to any DB... I don’t think anyone will know, but Daniels played most of his career at SS, not CB (just retired there), more ints and passes defended than Banks, less tackles. BUT, Collins who isn’t in had more ints than both of them, and Koski is right there in the ball park. I can’t say yes to any one of them, without saying yes to all of them. To me, this means none were special, and therefore not worthy of this HOF. Rant over, sorry, just saying it before people disagree that I don’t think Banks should be in this 5

we have an interesting situation, because the stats from the two C and G are very similar indeed. i don't like putting two players from the same position group unless QB/WR/RB. the 5 rings from Rogers breaks the tie with Polk, who in my opinion should be considered again next year.
here are my top 5
S Banks C Rogers T Hatch G Nixon DE Murray
