What do you think? Major snubs?
Mainly posting this so I can complain about Reshad Jones, yet again, being snubbed for the Pro Bowl.
Cam Chancellor: 74 tackles, 2 ints
Reshad Jobes: 124 tackles, 2 sacks, 5 ints, 2 TDs
Cam Chancellor and Earl Thomas combined: 134 tackles, 6 ints
Nothing against Kam but how does he make it in over Reshad Jones? To me it clearly seems like a case of a popular player getting in on name alone.
Looks like another big snub was Calvin Johnson making it in over Allen Robinson.
Johnson: 72 catches, 1000 yards, 7 TDs
Robinson: 69 catches, 1141 yards, 13 TDs
Doug Baldwin would have been a better choice as well.
Baldwin: 65 catchs, 905 yards, 13 TDs

Much easier to build pretty stats when your surrounded by chumps. Kam has other stud players competing for those stats. The front 7 usually sort things out before Kam can get involved.

I see what you're saying, but I still think it should be the player who actually did more and not the guy that would maybe have done more in different circumstances. I mean, sure, there are a lot of players on Seattle's d that are much better than the guys on Miami's, but Jones almost double Kams stats in most categories. Could that really have made that much of a difference?

Haha, no. Kam held out and has been hurt some. He played far less I am guessing
Outside of Polamalu I think Kam and Earl are as good as any safeties over the past 10 years. A bunch are pretty equal but for me Polamalu is the only one clearly better.

Looks like Reshad Jones played close to 1000 snaps while Kam had between 600-700.

Pro Bowl isn't as much about stats as it should be but more about getting the popular vote. For years now have felt that a lot of undeserving players have been there.

The Seahawks went 0-2 while Kam held out, and they've gone 8-3 since. He single-handedly beat the Lions in week 4 by somehow punching the ball out of Calvin Johnson's hands at the one foot line to prevent the winning TD. I think there's a lot of that with him. I don't wind up watching a lot of Seahawks games, but whenever I do, he makes huge plays.

Kam is a friggin beast! I actually think it's great that he gets some love. He is overlooked in that backfield.

Well this thread isn't going how I'd hoped.

Major snub Rashad Jones Safety most tackles in the league for a Safety in the top 5 overall. 5 picks 2 of them pick sixes both among the league tops. yet he isn't a top 4 or 5 safety in the NFL? Overall he has the top stats at S in the league and is a playmaker also.

Overall he has the top stats at S in the league and is a playmaker also. I think he's also the highest rated safety according to PFF, although I don't know how much merit you want to put in their ratings. At least he'll probably get in as an alternate.
