Huffman > HoffmanWith two sacks this week, fittingly against the team that drafted him and that he spent most of his career with, Leroy Huffman passed one of the RZB's all-time greats and broke one of its longest standing records by becoming the new all-time sack leader with 135.5 and counting. The record was set in 2032 when Theodore Hoffman of the Kansas City Chiefs played his final game in only his 12th season in the league. A converted DT, Huffman retired at the peak of his talent still supporting an overall of 70+. Leroy Huffman was drafted in 2049 by the Minnesota Vikings where he would spend the next nine seasons of his career. After a brief stint on the Jaguars, Huffman arrived in Dallas where he's spent his last two seasons. In his 13th year in the league Huffman is far from the special talent he once was on the Vikings, sporting a rating only in the high 30s, but he's never forgotten how to get to the passer and has 24 sacks over his last 36 games with a pass rush percentage above 9%, putting him still in the upper echelon of pass rushers. With nine games left to play in the season, Huffman has plenty of time left to separate himself further from the rest of the RZB.

I will exclusively be looking for Haffman, Heffman, or Hiffman to be the next great RZB pass rusher.

Evan, great report, and congratulations to Leroy for the record.
We traded him several seasons ago so we could meet the payroll for the other 52 guys we had at the time, who's combined contributions in retrospect couldn't equal Leroy's. He may be ratings-wise a far cry from his career peak, but you couldn't tell it yesterday; he chased DeMeester Bunny down the rabbit hole all day to the tune of 4 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 blocks, and a hurry. If he can manage to get five more blocks the remainder of this season, he will finish as the league's all-time leader in sacks, blocks, and hurries....what a career!
