My apologies this one will be a little longer with some movement and picks here-
1 - 15 (15) Detroit WEs (online) Sawyer Drake QB Michigan State
Pre TC Rating-24/60 Um sort of holding back excitement until Pre2 for me here.
POst TC-+5/-2 to 29/58 Looks really solid
Post PRe2-+4/-9 to 28/51 OK a ton less sexy and alot of questions here now. Looks like a solid starter at 51 but we will see
Date of Birth: 2039-05-13
School: Michigan State
Height: 6' 1" (Below Average)
Weight: 222 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 33
40 Time: 4.61
Bench Reps: 13
Agility: 7.71
Broad Jump: 8' 2"
Position Drill: 72
Grade: 5.80
Developed: 31
First thoughts-OK started at pick 3 was taking a QB. THen we had an offer that was really hard to refuse. We then decided to keep Kinney and build around him as we traded down to 8. We then had another offer to drop down and gain first round future capital. We head into next year's draft with 9 picks in the top 90 including 4 1sts. SO we trade Kinney away to division rival Bears and the ONLY reason was they had pick 15 in this draft which still gave us Drake. I had Drake as the 4th best Qb in the class and it was not 10 picks distance between them. Drake is not the regular QB he is probably a run heavy offense or a heavy pass offense the way i see him.
Pros-Deep pass professional from day one. Has great touch on the deep ball and stronger arm then you would guess. Deadly accurate and uses his legs to gain the tough yards in the open field. Has a good sense of the rush and plays tall at 6 foot1.
Cons-More accurate on deep balls and seems to struggle to take the mentos out of the cola on the shorter routes. I think you have to sort of build a specific offense around him not the other way around. Either way we have this year to see what we can do!
Rating-86.1 All Pro starter #19 on my board
Grade B+ Moved up and down the draft board with future picks but really left after coming into the draft with pick 1.3 and the 4th rated QB in the class.
1 - 21 (21) Detroit WEs (online) Monty Linquist WR Oklahoma State
Pre TC Rating-21/56 Again very open to this kid looks solid RR and BP which is what we needed desparetly
POst TC-+4/-3 to 25/53 Solid starting ish type of WR
POst PRe2-+3/-7 to 24/49 I do not like that future Drop but has BP and RR
Date of Birth: 2039-12-19
School: Oklahoma State
Height: 6' 0" (Average)
Weight: 190 lbs. (Way Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 33
40 Time: 4.42
Bench Reps: 11
Agility: 7.42
Broad Jump: 10' 6"
Position Drill: 59
Grade: 5.10
Developed: 7
First thoughts-Going into this draft i had WR as the furthest view of need on my list....then we trade our QB away and draft one. I may be the one on drugs as Lidquist is really really raw but man i have him graded as the 2nd highest rated ceiling WR in this draft. I was really not expecting him to be here but there is a ton of risk with Dev and ratings but i show 62 rated with great RR and BP ability I decided this draft was BPA and ignore any need to deal with later.
Pros-Great route runner shows twitch to beat defensive backs to the spot. Good deep play ability and incredible kick returner. He has great hands can make the tough catch and reliable as it comes on 3rd down.
Cons-REally Raw it will take a few years for him to be a major threat. Not much in broken tackles in the open field for YAC and does not return punts.
Rating-63 rating #2 Rated WR
Grade B So many variables here. IF i got a starting WR like i think i did it will be a steal of a pick here in the 20s.
2 - 2 (34) Detroit WEs (online) Caleb OBrien DT Michigan State
Pre TC Rating-35/61 Not as great as we really thought but moved him to DE
POst TC-+5/-1 to 40/60 I love how the defensive line just got majorly upgraded in two years
POst PRE2-+4/-4 to 39/57 Good looking stud DE for us.
Date of Birth: 2038-07-23
School: Michigan State
Height: 6' 3" (Average)
Weight: 303 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 26
40 Time: 4.96
Bench Reps: 30
Agility: 7.68
Broad Jump: 8' 9"
Grade: 6.40
Developed: 48
First thoughts-I am in full BPA mode at this point. I have Obrien as a top 15 player in this draft. I plan on moving him to DE for the 3-4 so we now have what i feel like some stud defensive lineman finally to start the season.
Pros-Elite speed rusher, plays all 3 downs, and good run stuffer.
Cons-Not exciting just a good all around defensive lineman. He does no excel in special teams and not a huge punishing tackler when finishing plays.
Rating-89 rated player All Pro ##4 DT on my board #14 player
Grade A Probably the best pick of the bunch at first glance. I think he may see a little boost at DE and he looks close to 70 ish.
2 - 19 (51) Detroit WEs (online) Jack Raymond ILB Southern California
Pre TC Rating-23/54 May be one of the picks i am most excited about here
POst TC-+4/-1 to 27/53 WLB starting type of kid from day one
POst PRe2-+3/-5 to 26/49 Looks like our starter at WLB
Date of Birth: 2037-04-24
School: Southern California
Height: 6' 1" (Average)
Weight: 241 lbs. (Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 21
40 Time: 4.61
Bench Reps: 27
Agility: 7.33
Broad Jump: 9' 6"
Position Drill: 15
Grade: 4.90
Developed: 30
First thoughts-Kid looks like abeastly 3-4 WLB that can hopefully go along with our newly built defensive line to give us a solid run defense and pass rush on all 3 downs.
Pros-Elite speed rusher and i had him as one of the top edge guys in the draft. Strong against the run and has a physical rush to go along with the edge speed which is great. He is decent in coverage more of a M2M or BNR guy where he excels.
Cons-Struggles to stick with TEs or slot guys in zone coverage. Not great at reading plays more of a send the missile this direction type and not much of a punishing tackler who won't cause a ton of fumbles.
Rating-72.2 Solid Starter #2 rated ILB and #5 rated linebacker
Grade A- fits a niche as a pass rusher but if he does not pan out there he is just meh.
2 - 26 (58) Detroit WEs (online) Lucas Sherp S Oklahoma
Pre TC Rating-23/49 Looks like a solid starting Safety just need to see if he holds or creeps
POst TC-+5/+1 to 28/50 OK looking like we got 11 50 ish rated guys and i like this kid TONS
POst PRe2-+5/-1 to 28/49 I think starting S for us here.
Date of Birth: 2038-10-27
School: Oklahoma
Height: 6' 1" (Above Average)
Weight: 205 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 35
40 Time: 4.45
Bench Reps: 17
Agility: 7.30
Broad Jump: 8' 3"
Position Drill: 51
Grade: 4.80
Developed: 35
First thoughts-We traded back in. I have him as a starting safety at the next level. I didn't feel he would make the run to me at my two 3rd round early picks.
Pros-Elite zone coverage, great hands(for a defensive back), good size at 6 foot1, and does not miss a play
Cons-Not much of a hard hitter and does not dissect the play like you would want of an elite safety. PLays coverage in M2M, ZOne, and against the run just decent.
Rating-74.2 Solid starter #3 rated S on my board
Grade B+ Trading back in hurts this a little but i think i may have nabbed a starter at the safety spot.
3 - 6 (70) Detroit WEs (online) Floyd Uerkwitz T Western Carolina
Pre TC Rating-22/52 I think may start at RT for us this year...
Post TC Rating-+3/0 to 25/52 Looks like a marginal starter so far!
POst PRe2-+2/-8 to 24/44 Stupid drop sucks backup RT now.
Date of Birth: 2037-09-25
School: Western Carolina
Height: 6' 3" (Below Average)
Weight: 298 lbs. (Way Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 40
40 Time: 5.27
Bench Reps: 32
Agility: 7.44
Broad Jump: 7' 8"
Grade: 5.80
Developed: 36
First thoughts-Another kid we did not have a read on. We know he was strong and could pass block and was smart as a whip.
Pros-Probably the best pure pass pro offensive tackle in the draft. Good feet in pass pro, extremely smart, strong in game attacking of defenders.
Cons-Very marginal at best run blocker and struggles to stay on the field at times.
Rating-69.1 Solid starter #5 rated offensive tackle on my board
Grade B trending backwards on these grades but just liked this kid and the 3rd round it got a little tighter on talent. I think i reached a little but i felt like OT was slim in this draft and i see a starter here.
3 - 8 (72) Detroit WEs (online) Vinny Reed OLB Oklahoma
Pre TC Rating-27/51 Nice looking linebacker not as great intitially as i would have thought but decent here
POst TC-+5/-1 to 32/50 Good looking depth at LB
POst PRe2-+4/-8 to 31/43 Backup LB
Date of Birth: 2037-09-18
School: Oklahoma
Height: 5' 10" (Way Below Average)
Weight: 234 lbs. (Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 22
40 Time: 4.71
Bench Reps: 18
Agility: 7.40
Broad Jump: 9' 4"
Position Drill: 30
Grade: 4.90
Developed: 55
First thoughts-This kid should not have been there still. He was here mostly due to being only 5 foot 10.
Pros-Great looking linebacker in all honesty. He covers the run, good at rushing the passer and bettter then average in coverage.
Cons-Smaller stature and just a totally pedestrian combine. He does not punish ball carriers and not much of a hitter on tackles.
Rating-67.7 Solid Starter #4 OLB on my board
Grade A- ok i like this kid a little more here. Sort of looking at him in hindsight thinking this is a little of a steal if he reveals the way he looks (64 ish rated)
3 - 28 (92) Detroit WEs (online) Seth Durham C Arkansas
Pre TC Rating-34/56 Lower then i thought kid looks legit for sure
POst TC Rating-+4/+2 to 38/58 Again may be the best value of our picks
Post PRe2-+9/+10 to 43/66 Boom at C starting from day one
Date of Birth: 2036-03-24
School: Arkansas
Height: 6' 3" (Average)
Weight: 289 lbs. (Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 38
40 Time: 5.31
Bench Reps: 37
Agility: 7.71
Broad Jump: 7' 9"
Grade: 4.90
Developed: 40
First thoughts-OK based on ratings this is probably the best player i drafted as a steal based on projected ratings. We have no need for C at all and it is a battle for the starting gig from day one.
Pros-Elite scary strength for a Center who just moves 350 pound defensive lineman. Great feet has only allowed a single sack in 4 years as a Razorback with only 1 penalty.
Cons-Does just play ok in the run game and has a small injury riddled past in his first few years.
Rating-68.5 #3 C on my board
Grade A- 65 ish rated center at this point i am overjoyed with. It does not matter if he starts or what here either.
4 - 5 (101) Detroit WEs (online) J.B. Rindfleisch CB Arizona
Pre TC Rating-20/46 Good BNR and Man bars looks like a nice solid CB
POst TC-+3/-1 to 23/45 Probably more depth then anything but a good punt returner and plays M2M and BNR
Post PRe2-+2/-7 to 22/39 Just some depth and ST play now
Date of Birth: 2037-08-24
School: Arizona
Height: 5' 11" (Average)
Weight: 192 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 16
40 Time: 4.41
Bench Reps: 13
Agility: 7.12
Broad Jump: 10' 2"
Position Drill: 37
Grade: 4.90
Developed: 36
First thoughts-At this point we are going to have flawwed players either way you look at it. Great punt returner and i think he should be a really solid nickel or part time out side cornerback.
Pros-M2M he throttles receivers into actions they do not want. He plays gunner on special teams and a pretty good run defender
Cons-Terrible hands on my man. He had PFF run a stat and his ranking on a hands touched pass into and interception is the lowest they have ever rated.
Rating-56.4 Starter #12 rated CB
Grade B-Probably depth at CB and special teams makes this pick worth it but there is a shot he sticks at a nickel player too.
5 - 4 (132) Detroit WEs (online) Rob Wharry ILB Oregon
Pre TC Rating-19/53 Looks like a solid happy late pick wow
POst TC-+5/-1 to 24/52 I think i may slowly move him to DE if he can keep putting on weight
POst PRe2-+11/+9 tp 30/62 Wow boom with the weight gain!
Date of Birth: 2039-12-01
School: Oregon
Height: 6' 4" (Way Above Average)
Weight: 243 lbs. (Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 31
40 Time: 5.06
Bench Reps: 24
Agility: 7.60
Broad Jump: 9' 2"
Position Drill: 15
Grade: 4.00
Developed: 29
First thoughts-I took the overrated college linebacker that is too slow and stuggles withanything in the open field or speed.
Pros-All time ORegon leading tackler so there is that i can depend on. He plays well against the run and also good in M2M defense but is a little grabby.
Cons-Not much of a finesse pass rush he is just going to run through you. I think a 2 down linebacker and we probably move him to WILB for that reason.
Rating-55.6 Starter #7 rated ILB
Grade B- I like the kid enough at this point that if i drafted a starter at LB i would be encouraged.
6 - 3 (163) Detroit WEs (online) Max Landry CB Texas Tech
Pre TC Rating-14/45 backup Corner
POst TC-+3/0 to 17/45 Another good backup looking CB may be a nickel guy has zone coverage ability.
POst PRe2-+3/0 to 17/45 I think we got a good value here at CB
Date of Birth: 2040-02-06
School: Texas Tech
Height: 6' 1" (Above Average)
Weight: 200 lbs. (Above Average)
Solecismic Score: 17
40 Time: 4.44
Bench Reps: 12
Agility: 7.20
Broad Jump: 8' 9"
Position Drill: 43
Grade: 4.50
Developed: 21
First thoughts-Worth a shot. I think he is a safety at the next level above bar combines and elite zone coverage.
Pros-Elite zone coverage good against the run and plays good m2m.
Cons-Not great hands, struggles in BNR coverage, and does not read and react well in the play.
Rating-53.2 Starter #13 CB on my list #11 S on my board
Grade B- Again nothing to run home about i think good defensive back depth at worst case scenario.
7 - 2 (194) Detroit WEs (online) Trevor Fox RB Northwestern
Pre TC Rating-21/41 backup RB has solid bars
POst TC-+1/-4 to 22/37 Backup RB at best
POst PRe2--7/-23 to 14/18 Garbage and will be cut VSOD hit him HARD
Date of Birth: 2039-03-19
School: Northwestern
Height: 5' 10" (Below Average)
Weight: 210 lbs. (Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 23
40 Time: 4.68
Bench Reps: 19
Agility: 7.10
Broad Jump: 9' 8"
Position Drill: 28
Grade: 4.70
Developed: 30
First thoughts-Had him on the list since round 5 just sort of liked him not loved him until it felt like a little value here.
Pros-Thick bodied kid that moves the chains. He is an excusive run between the tackles type but has the wiggle to get the extra yards and a knack to read the hole correctly.
Cons-Not much of a receiver and not much speed here. I like to have speed on my backs but 3 yards and a cloud of dust here most likely.
Rating-45.6 Roster maker
Grade C+ Spot on the roster is never too encouraging but he could be a nice change of pace back or even the 3rd rotational guy. I will take a 45 rated HR RB in round 7 with rarely any running flaws anyday lol.
1 - 15 (15) Detroit WEs (online) Sawyer Drake QB Michigan State

First thoughts-Worth a shot. I think he is a safety at the next level above bar combines and elite zone coverage.
Pros-Elite zone coverage good against the run and plays good m2m.
Cons-Not great hands, struggles in BNR coverage, and does not read and react well in the play.
Rating-53.2 Starter #13 CB on my list #11 S on my board
Grade B- Again nothing to run home about i think good defensive back depth at worst case scenario.
