Last year sucked. Moving along here we decided it was time to get a roster. I have a roster that just needed to get players on it. Not even so much great players just players. I have guys getting paid over the league max and totally underwhelming.
Here we go it is going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOng list this year-
1 - 8 (8) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Tyrell Mason DT Houston
Pre TC Rating-57/85 whoa we liked him a ton here but right now .....shhh
POst TC-+7/-1 to 64/84 Very excited for him to start the year at the Nose Tackle position from day one.
POst Pre2-+7/-2 to 64/83 Again love this monster so far.
EOS_+16/-2 to 73/83 38 tackles 1 sack 10 hurries in 13 games this guy is a mammoth monster
POst PRe2.2-+21/-2 to 78/83 Excited about this kid for sure!

Agility: 7.52
Broad Jump: 9' 1"
Grade: 7.50
Developed: 53
First thoughts-Traded down 5 spots and got a bunch of picks you will see that in this post a crap ton. Grabbed the best defensive lineman i had listed in the draft.
Pros-Elite Run defense and pass rush skills. The quickness in short space is hard to explain for such a big man.
Cons-He plays defensive tackle to that is probably the biggest minus i could give him. I love this kid will not use him on special teams much but he is going to get a ton of snaps year 1.
Rating-104.7 Borderline HOf player #1 DT on my board #4 player on my board.
Grade A I show a 77 rated DT
1 - 22 (22) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Braden Cash DE Oregon State
Pre TC Rating-29/73 Looks like the stud we were trying to get here so far.
Post TC-+6/-2 to 35/71 Stud looking kid. I doubt he sticks in the 70s but very happy so far here.
POst Pre2-+5/-6 to 34/67 Sort of more like we figured again love this kid feels like great value and revamped dline.
EOS_+16/-6 to 45/67 2 sacks 9 hurries 28 tackles 11 starts mediocre but still 50% dev was in a rotation for us.
POst PRE2.2-+22/-5 to 51/68 Beast looking DE need to get him dev
Date of Birth: 2038-01-03
School: Oregon State

40 Time: 4.66

Agility: 7.26
Broad Jump: 9' 11"
Grade: 6.70
Developed: 20
First thoughts-Elite 3-4 DE that was in the mix 15 picks ago....
Pros-Stout run defender that really holds the edge. He plays all 3 downs and is a high energy kid that will make that tackle 30 yards downfield or catch the faster RB or QB on the edge. Can turn the corner on bigger left tackles really pushing the pocket.
Cons-He is not elite in bull rush and does get nullified at times. Does not play much special teams.
Rating-90.4 All Pro player #1 DE on my board and #9 player on my list
Grade A+ I show a 75 rated DT and i doubt i just grabbed two 75 plus defensive lineman here but if i did i am stoked.
2 - 25 (57) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Drew Parker G Michigan
Pre TC Rating-35/55 Less then we thought here so thay helps kill our optimism a little lol just a little.
Post TC-+2/0 to 37/55 Looks like a starter at the G position we were hoping for more.
Post PRe2-+1/-3 to 36/52 OPtimism has dwindled from starter to good backup
EOS_+10/-4 to 45/51 PLayed great 16 starts 20/46 KRBS only 4 sacks allowed
POst PRe2.2-+14/-6 tp 49 Very pedestrian here not sure how i feel about the pick honestly.
Date of Birth: 2036-06-22
School: Michigan
Height: 6' 3" (Below Average)
Weight: 315 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 31
40 Time: 5.15
Bench Reps: 31
Agility: 7.62
Broad Jump: 8' 10"
Grade: 5.60
Developed: 51
First thoughts-Slightly older kid that played 5 years but is somewhat NFl ready to start day one. I love that he blew up the combine and has great bars.
Pros-The energizer bunny is the first one to the gym in the morning working on his pass blocking skills and is the last to leave the weight room. High energy that brings a ton to the offensive line also.
Cons-He plays guard and is probably a good run blocker at the next level. He is also 23 this year so slightly elder statesman.
Rating-77 rating and 27th player on out board. I had him listed as the 5th best Guard in this deep class too though.
Grade A Looks like a potentially better then solid starting G in the league.
2 - 27 (59) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Victor Eiermann WR Illinois
Pre TC Rating-33/51 Looks like a burner and return man for us and also a slot WR.
Post TC-+3/0 to 36/51 I love this i think we got a good WR at this point in the draft for sure.
Post Pre2-+2/-2 to 35/49 Again love this kid lol
EOS_+4/-2 to 37/49 DNP much at all for us this year
POst PRe2.2-+6/-4 to 39/47 Major plans at slot and 4th WR for him this year.
Date of Birth: 2036-01-28
School: Illinois
Height: 5' 8" (Short)
Weight: 196 lbs. (Light)
Solecismic Score: 22
40 Time: 4.38
Bench Reps: 12
Agility: 6.74
Broad Jump: 9' 9"
Position Drill: 64
Grade: 5.50
Developed: 35
First thoughts-Speed all over the place and excellent return man.
Pros-One of those kids man. YOu see him in the open field and sometimes he is just not tackleable. You want to relate him to a stick of butter on a stainless steel countertop.
Cons-Not a great route runner at all. He will never be a number one and ideally he could be a slot guy in the end but he struggles accross the middle at times too.
Rating-77 rating #3 rated WR #30 rated overall prospect.
Grade B+ Speed kills for sure but in the long run this could be a decoy number 2 or a slot WR in the big picture.
3 - 4 (68) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Brock Grier T Texas Tech
Pre TC Rating-15/42 Very very pedestrian here but looks like a good backup LT
POst TC_+4/-1 to 19/41 PLus 50 bars in blocking and endurance this is my type of kid for sure. May have been a little reach but LT is a primary position
POst Pre2-+3/-6 to 18/36 Pedstrian backup LT
EOS_+3/-5 to 18/37 DNP may not make it
POst PRe2.2-+8/-7 to 23/35 Marginal backup LT i was wrong on this kid
Date of Birth: 2037-01-02
School: Texas Tech
Height: 6' 5" (Average)
Weight: 322 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 32
40 Time: 5.16
Bench Reps: 19
Agility: 7.68
Broad Jump: 8' 9"
Grade: 5.30
Developed: 33
First thoughts-This was my first pure reach i think but i wanted this kid. I think he would not have lasted until round 4 and i think he is starting LT material.
Pros-Good blocking bars and good endurance. Good all around LT very seldom penalized and does not make many mistakes.
Cons-Not great in anything. Terrible blocking strength and shows in the weight room.
Rating-58 rating which is a good starter #11 OT on my board
Grade B slight reach but like i said earlier a potential starting LT here.
4 - 3 (99) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Ivan Born G New Mexico
Pre TC Rating-18/53 OK really like the way this kid works. If our 2nd round pick does not creep i think we have a starter here.
POst TC-+4/-1 to 22/52 This kid is very youthful but i think is going to surprise me the most
Post Pre2-+4/-5 to 22/48 No surprise lol what i thought.
EOS_+4/-6 to 22/47 DNP a down we are deep at G
POst PRe2.2-+7/-5 to 25/48 Still looks solid at G starting him this preseason
Date of Birth: 2037-09-01
School: New Mexico
Height: 6' 3" (Below Average)
Weight: 300 lbs. (Way Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 23
40 Time: 5.10
Bench Reps: 27
Agility: 7.79
Broad Jump: 7' 4"
Grade: 4.70
Developed: 25
First thoughts-I had him listed as one of the BPA and starter type players at G.
Pros-I show higher then average blocking bars. He has great hands which work for him in the pass or run game. Worst case scenario we just built some deadly depth in the offensive trenches.
Cons-Not great endurance and a little weaker then hopeful at the point of attack. Not a mauler more finesse.
Rating-63 rating wow see he is sort of higher end starter there at this spot i like it #10 G on our board
Grade A- i think a quiet steal here in the 4th round in a deep G class.
4 - 17 (113) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Walt Moore C Texas A&M
Pre TC Rating-21/62 NO way love this kid DA had him 2 rounds earlier trying to tell me to take him. If this sticks even high 50s we have a win win.
POst TC-+5/0 to 26/62 WE just drafted our starting C This kid is very likeable
Post PRe2-+4/-3 to 25/59 Probably the best value pick out of the 1st round for us.
EOS_+13/-3 to 34/59 11/56 KRBS and 4 sacks allowed need to get him dev
POst PRe2.2-+19/-7 to 40/55 Should be a started but we just drafted a loaded C
Date of Birth: 2038-09-23
School: Texas A&M
Height: 6' 0" (Way Below Average)
Weight: 294 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 24
40 Time: 5.31
Bench Reps: 25
Agility: 7.87
Broad Jump: 7' 4"
Grade: 3.80
Developed: 17
First thoughts-OK i am not trying to redraft every offensive line player that was truly not my plan here. I had him a round earlier in the why is he still here path of the draft myself.
Pros-Good solid pass blocker that is also pretty good with his technique in the run game.
Cons-Sort of just below average on staying on the field and also not a powerful kid in the big scheme. That is why he is here in the 4th round.
Rating-55 rated player that could be a starter if he pans on #4 center i had in this class.
Grade B+ Solid looking undersized center. Could be depth or marginal starter.
4 - 22 (118) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Kenyon Borders G California
Pre TC Ratings-31/52 Looks like we thought good G depth
POst TC-+3/0 to 34/52 I think we hit on all 3 of our Gs lol
POst Pre2-+2/-4 to 33/48 Nice backup G
EOS_+9/-5 to 40/47 15/43 KRBS 5 sacks allowed very so so
POst PRe2.2-+12/-6 to 43/46 Again average ish G for us.
Date of Birth: 2037-10-15
School: California
Height: 6' 4" (Average)
Weight: 299 lbs. (Way Below Average)
Solecismic Score: 32
40 Time: 5.21

Broad Jump: 8' 10"
Grade: 5.10
Developed: 39
First thoughts-Deep G class and i had him as one of the BPA at this point. Did i need to draft another G hell no....
Pros-Does not take a play off and smart kid. Has intangibles does not get penalized often, Good run or pass blocker, Decently strong kid, not hurt very often.
Cons-I think a low ceiling is the major draw here as he is just a good G that is it.
Rating-66 rated #7 G i had in this class. If he ends up anywhere near the higher end of the bars he is a steal where the lower end he is just a good player on the team.
Grade B probably a backup marginal if needed starter but not a ton more there.
5 - 2 (130) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Albert McNulty K Arizona
Pre TC Rating-38/73 Let's see what happens at training camp for sure here....right?
POst TC-+2/-23 to 40/49 Bam droooooop still starting K for us just going to struggle on kickoffs. Not sure if it was unmasking or Vol hit
Post PRe2-+9/-4 to 47/69 and bam he booms backup for us lol
EOS_+24/-4 to 62/69 Dude looks awesome
Post PRe2.2-+25/-10 to 63 NIce looking K for us

OK it is a kicker not going to tear into this. Looking like a DA has him as a 78 rated kicker. That does not hold.
Grade B sort of the right range just depends on if this kid holds for some value
5 - 8 (136) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Taylor Anthony P Virginia Tech
Pre TC Rating-33/74 Not sure here again very happy with both feet players here early of course.
POst TC--1/-5 to 32/69 I love ths kid 60 rated P i will take all day long here
POst PRe2--4/-50ish 29/29 OUch cut or soon to be
EOS_Cut we wasted no time

Punter this is even less sexier then the kicker pick. Da shows him 68 rated punter and TBH i liked him more then the kicker when i drafted him but i think this may be better value ha.
Grade B- it is a punter if he makes the team we are good anything other then that is over the ceiling i am hoping for.
5 - 26 (154) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Alejandro Hopper CB Colorado
pre TC Rating-19/37 Bought to creep not sure we have anything here but let's see what PRe2 does here.
POst TC-+1/-2 to 20/35 He will not creep and doubt he stays on the roster here.
POst PRe2-+1/-7 to 20/30 Hits the ground just not running at all.
EOS_+3/-7 to 22/30 Long shot this year
Post PRe2.2-+5/-7 to 24/30 I doubt he makes it through the preseason with us.
Date of Birth: 2036-07-09

First thoughts-Old school draft techniques took over here. Good combines and static bar no zero bars...Ran to the button
Pros-Hands like a catcher's mitt. Kid catches anything near him and pounds on ball carriers. Good m2m and great in bump coverage.
Cons-struggles understanding zone techniques and i doubt he will ever make the all pro run defense team any time soon.
Rating-58 rated 12th rated CB i had on my list.
Grade B+ I like the small potential here and could be a nickel or dime player with ints on his mind.
6 - 4 (164) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) D.J. Allegretti RB Clemson
Pre TC Rating-34/41 decent backup i like it
Post TC-+1/+1 to 35/42 and plays special teams like this pick more now.
Post Pre2--2/-6 to 32/35 Slight dip more unmasking i bet
EOS_-2/-6 to 32/35 3rd string RB and ST stud
Post PRe2.2-+1/-4 to 35/37 I really like the kid as a backup
Date of Birth: 2035-08-31
School: Clemson
Height: 5' 10" (Below Average)
Weight: 216 lbs. (Average)
Solecismic Score: 18
40 Time: 4.61

Broad Jump: 9' 5"
Position Drill: 8
Grade: 5.40
Developed: 69
First thoughts-I tried to ignore him but in the latter rounds i really like to go after 100 bars and this kid had 5 with 2 other in the 90s. I always feel it is a sort of tell.
Pros-Creates his own hole and moves the pile. Had great recognition when it is available and converts on 3rd down. He is an elite "running" third down back or backup.
Cons-Not great in pass pro no return ability and you will never see him get the edge of a play.
Rating-51 rated guy no idea what that means for this kid in the future but his bars show 58 doubt he ever gets there
Grade B+ I think a good value backup RB. We are already deep but gives us options.
7 - 3 (195) Detroit * (5 min) WEs (online) Carter Carlisle OLB South Carolina
pre tc rating-28/38 less the we hoped mid 40s
POst TC-+3/+1 to 31/39 Creeping to the 40s? Starting 3-4 WLB?
Post PRe2-+3/+2 to 31/40 Happy with him he looks like a decetn WLB
EOS_+3/+2 to 31/40 Same sat this year really a nickel or dime backer
Post PRe2.2-+5/+1 to 33/39 Pass defense lienbacker
Date of Birth: 2036-12-05
School: South Carolina
Height: 5' 11" (Way Below Average)
Weight: 246 lbs. (Above Average)

Grade: 4.70

First thoughts-I fell in love with this kid in round five. I figured he would not make it this far at all. I think a perfect 3-4 WLB but his RD is a little offputting.
Pros-Excellent speed edge rusher. Decent all around but excels there.
Cons-Not much of a special teams guy and did not play the run well in college. I think he is sneaky better in the pros.
Rating-55 rated so good starter it shows...
Grade B+ Another guy that i think is undervalued and hope he can step into the WLB role for us mixing in day one
Here we go it is going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOng list this year-

First thoughts-I had him listed as one of the BPA and starter type players at G.
Pros-I show higher then average blocking bars. He has great hands which work for him in the pass or run game. Worst case scenario we just built some deadly depth in the offensive trenches.
Cons-Not great endurance and a little weaker then hopeful at the point of attack. Not a mauler more finesse.
Rating-63 rating wow see he is sort of higher end starter there at this spot i like it #10 G on our board
Grade A- i think a quiet steal here in the 4th round in a deep G class.

First thoughts-OK i am not trying to redraft every offensive line player that was truly not my plan here. I had him a round earlier in the why is he still here path of the draft myself.
Pros-Good solid pass blocker that is also pretty good with his technique in the run game.
Cons-Sort of just below average on staying on the field and also not a powerful kid in the big scheme. That is why he is here in the 4th round.
Rating-55 rated player that could be a starter if he pans on #4 center i had in this class.
Grade B+ Solid looking undersized center. Could be depth or marginal starter.

POst TC-+3/0 to 34/52 I think we hit on all 3 of our Gs lol
POst Pre2-+2/-4 to 33/48 Nice backup G
EOS_+9/-5 to 40/47 15/43 KRBS 5 sacks allowed very so so

POst TC-+2/-23 to 40/49 Bam droooooop still starting K for us just going to struggle on kickoffs. Not sure if it was unmasking or Vol hit
Post PRe2-+9/-4 to 47/69 and bam he booms backup for us lol

OK it is a kicker not going to tear into this. Looking like a DA has him as a 78 rated kicker. That does not hold.
Grade B sort of the right range just depends on if this kid holds for some value

POst TC--1/-5 to 32/69 I love ths kid 60 rated P i will take all day long here

Punter this is even less sexier then the kicker pick. Da shows him 68 rated punter and TBH i liked him more then the kicker when i drafted him but i think this may be better value ha.
Grade B- it is a punter if he makes the team we are good anything other then that is over the ceiling i am hoping for.

pre TC Rating-19/37 Bought to creep not sure we have anything here but let's see what PRe2 does here.

First thoughts-I fell in love with this kid in round five. I figured he would not make it this far at all. I think a perfect 3-4 WLB but his RD is a little offputting.
Pros-Excellent speed edge rusher. Decent all around but excels there.
Cons-Not much of a special teams guy and did not play the run well in college. I think he is sneaky better in the pros.
Rating-55 rated so good starter it shows...
Grade B+ Another guy that i think is undervalued and hope he can step into the WLB role for us mixing in day one
