Once again, it's your homeboy Coach Snoop and I'm going to break down this week's games. The 2059 Red Zone Blitz postseason rolls on like a fat as blunt as the Wild Card games are in the books and we're down to the final eight teams fighting for the right to hoist the BearGrowlz Trophy. We had some crazy ass games and this week's games should be even better. Congrats to the Bucs, Chiefs, Commanders and Raiders who all advanced. Now we're down to the final 8 that will square off in the second season. This week's contests should all be must-see TV so grab some sticky icky and smoke one with ya dogg.
Divisional Round Games
Kansas City (12-6) at Pittsburgh (15-1)
Our first game pits two GMs that have had plenty of success in the FOF Universe as bylanta and ezlee2 square off for the right to advance to the Conference Championship game. The Steelers have won 12 straight games as they went 15-1 for the 4th time in franchise history. The Chiefs have been knocking on the door, but haven't been able to get past the pesky Raiders. The Steelers are led by third year QB K. Bear Robbins who passed for 6000+ yards and 44 TDs as the Steelers offense excelled under new OC Gregory Clinton who jumped up from the college ranks with his Air-Raid based offense to develop the Steelers young QB.
The Chiefs went 11-5 this year and just missed out on winning the AFC West. They are fresh off an upset against the Broncos as they won in OT on a walk off pick 6 by Ron Foster. The Chiefs are led by veteran QB Brock Nixon who has had a career resurgence since joining the Chiefs a few years back. He is coming off the best season of his 17 year career as he had an impressive 42 TDs in 2059. The Steelers WR Bradley Sellers racked up 2,289 receiving yards just falling short of the record held by Gustavo Fleming. The Chiefs top WR WR Ernie Workman finally showed glimpses of why he was taken #1 overall.
As you can tell, I'm really excited about this one as it's always fun to see the top tier teams/GMs duke it out in the playoffs. The Steelers are on a quest to win their 7th championship. Anything less than a bowl win will be considered a letdown after one of the greatest seasons in franchise history. The Chiefs are out to prove that they are indeed part of the top tier teams in the AFC. Vegas is giving my Steelers a 7 point edge this week and I expect my boys in Black and Gold to cover. Steelers 28- Chiefs 20.

Las Vegas (12-5) at Houston (13-3)
Our next game should be a fun one as the Raiders and Texans have both shown that they can defeat any team on any given Sunday. The Texans are the epitome of the ground and pound as Juggy has been molding this team in his image since taking over. The Texans handed the 15-1 Steelers their lone regular season loss with a 48-17 blowout win against the defending AFC Champions in Week 4. They are led by their RB tandem who combined for over 3,000 yards on the ground between them. However, they will be without half of that unit as Hardy Haynesworth is out with a torn rotator cuff. The Texans have not officially announced their starting QB for this game either as veteran Richard Henn has been excellent filling in for Ernie Upshaw. The Raiders are the ultimate sum is greater than the parts as this team has plenty of solid, but not spectacular players. The heart and soul of this team is their defense and they are led by All-Pro CB Cris "Nightcap" Najera who is much more visible than QB Avery Butler who has found a home in Las Vegas after bouncing around for the first few years of his career. The Raiders have been knocking on the door the last few seasons and are coming off their first postseason win under GM thefatcat. The Texans are making their first trip to the playoffs since 2053 so postseason experience will be on the side of the Raiders in this one. Despite their lack of experience, the odds makers are giving them a 3 point advantage at home. I like the Raiders on the road this week winning another close game on the backs of their stellar defense. Raiders 20-Texans 14
Tampa Bay (11-6) at Green Bay (13-3-1)
What's not to like about this game? We get two legendary GMs in clown and WillieB going at it. The Pack is back after a couple of off years while the Bucs have consistently been one of RZB underachievers and are looking to get the monkey off their back after many letdowns over the years. The Bucs are happy to have their start QB Moe Barber back at full strength after he dealt with an injury down the stretch. Barber has been chasing glory since he broke into the league as the top overall pick in the 2051 draft. He tossed 22 TDs in only 11 starts. He looked solid last week against the Bears leading his team to a commanding 39-0 drubbing. The Packers come into this game as the #2 seed as new QB J.J. Baxter has proven to be everything that GM clown hoped for when he brought him in from the Falcons this past offseason. Baxter is the ultimate game manager who rarely puts his team in a bad position. RB Tracy Parkinson is the horse that carriers this team as he ran for nearly 1900 yards this year.
At the end of the day I see this one coming down to who turns the ball over less. I like Moe Barber to not only protect the ball this week, but propel his team to glory. I am taking the Bucs to win this one in the week's closest game. Buccaneers 31- Packers 28
Washington (11-6) at Dallas (14-2)
Our final game this week has plenty of storylines, but none is bigger than the friendly rivalry between the ManWithNoName and the man with the name of the team he loves in real life, but hates in RZB as the Commanders GM Dallas is looking to knock the champs out of the tournament. The Cowboys are the defending champs and come into this game as the class of the league. QB Jalen Faria became the first QB to have back to back 50 TD seasons and the boys actually look better without star WR Davidson who retired after their win against the Steelers in the bowl last year. The Commanders are a team I have liked for a long time, but have never been able to put it all together. QB Butch Garrison has been the classic underachiever as he hasn't been able to put it all together despite all the talent he has had around him throughout his career. He is coming off a stellar performance against the Seahawks as he led the team to a 41-23 blowout win on the road last week. At the end of the day, I like Dem Boys to beat his good friend and #1 rival. I'm taking Dallas (the team, not the man) to win big this week: Cowboys 44-Commanders 23
There you have it. My predictions for this round. Until next time, some one with yo dogg!
