We have a win over the Packers, so they'll pick before us.

We have a win over the Packers, so they'll pick before us. Your schedule was easier than theirs so you pick before then. Head2head is after strength of schedule, but there might be one or two other tiebreakers in between too that I don't know.

Pretty sure we are picking 8th. We were the 7-9 team with the weakest schedule.

Pretty sure we are picking 8th. We were the 7-9 team with the weakest schedule. I think the tougher schedule when you are tied gets the better pick. I could be wrong. I am 100% sure draft order is overall record and strength of schedule for the non playoff teams. The last 4 picks of the first round is based on the Super Bowl winner. If the NFC wins the SB then the NFC championship loser picks 30th. AFC Champ loser picks 29.

Yeah i was not putting the playoff teams in order just by their record.
INdy took the division but lost to me so they will have the #17th pick.

It's the weaker schedule because all things equal we played lesser opponents and still lost the same amount of games as all those who we are tied with. It is really as simple as sorting the power ranking list by opp. win percentage and then win percentage. Tie breakers only come into it if someone has the same record and strength of schedule, which is not a very common thing. This season there are no ties to sort out. Those teams that are tied by record then rotate throughout the draft, so I will pick 8th in round 1, then 11th, 10th, 9th in the next 3 rounds before going back to 8th in the 5th round. With the remaining playoff teams removed, we get the top 24 teams right now (if everyone had their first rounder still). They are: 1: DET 2: PHI 3: BAL 4: BUF 5: JAX 6: TEN 7: LAC 8: CIN 9: MIN 10: WAS 11: MIA 12: LAR 13: DEN 14: LV 15: CLE 16: GB 17: ARI 18: NYG 19: ATL 20: TBY 21: IND 22: NED 23: CAR 24: SFO Kansas City has currently dropped at least 9 spots from where they would have picked if they didn't make the post season. Sometimes making the playoffs at or near .500 is more of a curse than a blessing.. Unless you win it all, you just cost yourself more draft capital every week.
