1.20 S/CB Perry Douglas, Indiana, 19% developed, 5'9" 188 lbs. 21 yrs. old
LFA: 24/61
PTC: 28/60 (+4/-1)
PS2: 28/58 (0/-2)
Interview: O
Our top priority in this draft was to get cheaper and build talent on D. Douglas looks like an ideal LCB in our press-heavy system. A really young and raw talent who should develop at the back of our rotation for a year or two before taking over as our leading CB.
Douglas looks like a press coverage specialist. Might not see much playing time this year, but he should step into a shutdown role next season.
Douglas is not exactly a 1st round talent, but he has useful bars and should see considerable playing time from the start.
2.20 CB Hardy Bryant, Oregon St., 51% developed, 5'11" 197 lbs. 24 yrs. old
LFA: 31/62
PTC: 41/64 (+10/+2)
PS2: 28/52 (-13/-12)
Interview: U
Looking better than I expected. Bryant could have been a 1st round pick if he had any endurance. A great talent who will be limited on play time. Should develop in the middle of our rotation and could see the field early as our PR guy.
A true 0 in endurance is the only issue. Bryant looks like a star with great bars and the potential to be an outstanding punt returner.
A big drop in PS2, but Bryant could still be a useful NCB/DCB in the future. His PR ability should get him some time on the field in his rookie year.
3.20 DT/DE Lance Carnes, San Diego St., 70% developed, 6'3" 296 lbs. 22 yrs. old
LFA: 38/50
PTC: 41/49 (+3/-1)
PS2: 41/49 (0/0)
Interview: H2R
Great talent for DE. Carnes has a chance to be a starter for us this season as we make moves to free up cap space.
Carnes could be an all-league caliber pass rusher if his bars hold up.
97 PRT and 86 PRS with the endurance to play every down. The only thing that may keep Carnes from some all-league awards is if I find a superstar to play ahead of him.
3.22 DT Chance Winters, Lafayette, 55% developed, 6'6" 354 lbs. 23 yrs. old
LFA: 38/61
PTC: 42/64 (+4/+3)
PS2: 43/63 (+1/-1)
Winters is a huge body in the middle. He's an idiot with all the talent to fill running holes and plow through the middle of an OL.
I don't think I've ever seen a player over 350 lbs., and Winters has the talent to make an impact in the middle of our DL.
Winters is a massive wall in the middle of our DL. Should see a good amount of playing time as a rookie and may take over as the starter if Satterfield becomes too expensive.
3.31 RB Jackson Kemp, Fresno St., 46% developed, 5'9" 214 lbs. 22 yrs. old
LFA: 36/48
PTC: 39/49 (+3/+1)
PS2: 39/50 (0/+1)
Kemp is the only offensive player I took in this draft. Solid rushing bars to be either our 3rd down back or a cheap starter if we move on from Robbins.
Solid bars for our backup RB. Kemp could be the heir apparent to Robbins.
Kemp should be a good backup this season. With Robbins on the way out, Kemp should take over as the lead back next year.
4.20 OLB Winfred McWilliams, Mississippi St., 76% developed, 6'2" 262 lbs. 22 yrs. old
LFA: 37/48
PTC: 42/51 (+5/+3)
PS2: 45/57 (+3/+6)
The biggest cap issue facing our team right now is trying to pay our LBs. McWilliams can do a little bit of everything and could be worth starting in a season or two.
Good talent all around, and McWilliams is developed enough to start for us week 1.
McWilliams is a well-rounded talent. Should be our top OLB this season and the future.
4.32 ILB Monty Watson, Boston College, 60% developed, 6'0" 230 lbs. 25 yrs. old
LFA: 29/51
PTC: 33/52 (+4/+1)
PS2: 34/54 (+1/+2)
Watson is a really old rookie who looks like he could start if we need him to.
Good talent at the end of the 4th. Good run stopping backup ILB.
Watson has starter potential. He should develop on the bench this season before finding a spot in the rotation next year.
5.20 OLB Dwayne Moose, Indiana, 73% developed, 6'3" 262 lbs. 23 yrs. old
LFA: 29/44
PTC: 32/42 (+3/-2)
PS2: 33/40 (+1/-2)
Moose looks like a decent backup at OLB. We can always use cheap quality backups.
Decent backup with a potential affinity. PS2 will tell if he will have a spot on the roster.
Moose will see some playing time as a rookie, but I doubt he fits into any long term plans.
6.20 ILB Bob Hutton, Arizona, 48% developed, 6'1" 256 lbs. 21 yrs. old
LFA: 17/41
PTC: 20/40 (+3/-1)
PS2: 20/36 (0/-4)
Hutton has an interesting bar profile, but he may not be good enough to make our final roster.
May need to pop to keep a roster spot. May also try him at ILB.
Hutton is a cheap backup at ILB. He's unlikely to last his entire rookie contract.
7.8 CB Bryan Goloboy, Oregon, 40% developed, 5'11" 203 lbs. 23 yrs. old
LFA: 23/49
PTC: 29/51 (+6/+2)
PS2: 30/56 (+1/+5)
Looking like a good find in the 7th. We have a lot of young talent in the secondary now, so Goloboy could be limited to backup status.
Great find in the 7th. An every-down playmaking CB. Looks like our secondary is completely rebuilt from this draft.
A starter quality CB in the 7th is a great find. Goloboy should see starter playing time from the start.
7.20 S Liam Lindros, Oklahoma, 57% developed, 6'0" 207 lbs. 24 yrs. old
LFA: 19/41
PTC: 24/41 (+5/0)
PS2: 23/38 (-1/-3)
Good bar profile to be a useful backup. Hopefully his ratings hold.
Flat bars with no special skills. Looks like an end of the bench type player.
Backup for now until I replace him on the roster with someone who's actually useful.
7.31 S Jeremiah Skuratovsky, Middle Tennessee St., 47% developed, 5'11" 197 lbs. 24 yrs. old
LFA: 17/37
PTC: 20/37 (+3/0)
PS2: 19/36 (-1/-1)
Not sure if Skuratovsky is good enough to make the roster. We'll have to wait to see if he pops into relevancy.
Skuratovsky has bars in the right places for S, but he may need to pop to stay on the roster.
Skuratovsky can sort of stop the run. More likely to be replaced at some point this season.
LFA: 24/61
PTC: 28/60 (+4/-1)
PS2: 28/58 (0/-2)
