Nah I'm fine with being 3rd on your list Nick. But would you allow me to bring another pro argument for myself?
When I was with the Vikings I was pretty successful (even though I do think that I'm better now) with a team complete with my own players. Now look how the Vikings did without me as the GM. I think I have proven to build a team maintain some level of talent and success. Yeah no doubt tzach great players helped me, but its not like I'm unproven in this regard.
Anyway me being 3rd on the list is still fine and Julio is an amazing GM, I'm still honored being 4th behind you guys. Great listen also

Thanks as always for providing the content gents.
It's been my experience in FA that he who offers the most bonus wins. Do most people think I would have had the winning bid with fluff salary even though I could not approach the winning bid's bonus? (or max salary for that matter)
In a similar spot in another league I won the bid for a WR when someone else offered about 50m more total dollars but I offered more in bonus and got the player. That's just a sample size of one though, so I'd love to hear what people think on this.

yeah I'm surprised that there exist different caps for bonus money depending on the financial situation of your franchise. For example I could just offer 144.1 million in bonus money. So no chance for me to top the Steelers in that regard. Couldn't afford Davidson anyway so no big deal. But kinda sad for teams that could have spend more, but were not allowed

So sorry, that changes my judgement, and maybe you did all you could. Not sure if a 500/5 deal would have overpowered robs or not

WINNER WINNER DING DING DING
Honestly, if there were a whole string of bidders who had maxed-out their bonus and then the in-game bonus limit turned out to be the deciding factor... then as a league I think we'd have a legit gripe here. (And an even stronger case for some sort of artificial cap depression, FWIW)
But barring that, this was just "who wanted him the most, and made the most effort" and that team won out. Jets were in it with a bonus-heavy offer, but we came in too low on the dollars-per-year metric. Simple as that, we lost out fair and square, like everyone else did.

(guessing I subconsciously edited away the "would of" when pruning the multi-tiered quote above... blaming the #GrammarNazi in me, obv)

I gave Davidson my best shot. Thanks for recognizing that. I love the line from Nick. "Brian doesn't have the most talented teams, but he's always screwed for cap" Yeah, tell me about it. lol. I need an accountant cause I'm obviously doing something wrong. I look at what I'm paying guys and it doesn't seem outrageous.

Now I am not saying he is wrong, but I do find it amusing that in every video Joel always comes back to what would Indy be without Wilbanks.
I am pretty sure he would be in a similar situation of Fleming was to go down.

I’ve said the same in prior videos buddy 100% agree, Fleming goes down, my current plan is screwed. we are almost the inverse of you, great passing, shit running lol it’s interesting

Joel being moved in front of me on Nick's top 10 list? This is unacceptable.

Hopefully my newly drafted WR will help a bit. He is not a superstar, but hopefully he will elevate our passing game to respectable.
