Offensive turnovers are another factor. How often is the opposing Offense getting a short field. All this stuff can give a false reading with the ppg. Our defense isn't as good as the ppg would have you believe, but our Offense is better than it might appear IMO. Instead of per game stats it might be more helpful to see points per possession stats. Quick comparison, Dallas Cowboys:27.3 Points Per Game 24.2 Points Allowed Per Game 255 offensive points on 132 possessions = 1.93 points per possession 218 points allowed on 127 possessions = 1.72 points per possession Seattle Seahawks:26 Points Per Game 12.3 Points Allowed Per Game 227 offensive points on 113 possessions = 2.01 points per possession 111 points allowed on 114 possessions = 0.97 points per possession Not too many conclusions worth mentioning I can draw from this but, despite scoring more points a game offensively than you, I think it's safe to say you actually have the more effective offense. I also sincerely doubt anyone else comes close to allowing less than a point per possession on defense. Would be nice to see everyone laid out to have a leaderboard but that's too much work for me. Just worth mentioning that for the points per possession I only counted points generated on offense. So no special teams or defensive scores.
