Brian has written up Keeling. Sent Jeremy as PM to see if he wants to do Cheuse, waiting on Dunn from Rob.

Doesn't look like any 1st ballot guys this year. Perhaps Plyler will get in to the conversation down the line, but not as a 1st ballot guy.
CBs Newhart and McWilliams are likely to be in my final 5 again. DE Blake probably.

I just noticed my phone autocorrected his name to Cheese. How did I not give him that nickname before?

Fed up of hearing/talking about them. If you aren’t good enough after 5 times of trying, you should be done. It is meant to be best of best

QB Hartman - 2nd year eligible - 4 x rings, 2 x bowl MVP, 1 x 1st team, 2 x 2nd team, 4th all time QBR. QB Delcorio - 6th year eligible - OROY, 2 x 2nd team, 5th all time QBR, 5th all time completion%, 6th all time TD's
Delcorio should be in by now. Maybe the lack of a ring holds him back but the consistency was there. Hartman in his second year would be worthy of a discussion.
I don't see any RB's, FB's, TE's or Offensive Lineman at the moment. Feel free to push some names out there.
With regards to Wide Receiver, Samuel Lane is on the cusp of discussion for me but it's such a hard group to get into. When you are comparing him to the best of the best, he probably isn't there. His body of work over his career was impressive though and of course, he has rings to show.
DE Blake - 10th year eligible - 3 x 1st team, 1 x 2nd team, 9th all time in tackles, 6th all time in assists, 5th all time in sacks, 9th all time in QBkds, 5th all time in FF (amongst DE's) DE Hancock - 7th year eligible - 1 x DPOY, 2 x 1st team, 2 x 2nd team, 7th all time in tackles, 7th all time in assists, 8th all time in sacks, 8th all time in blocks, 6th all time in hurries, 7th all time in QBkds (amongst DE's)
Both guys stats still hold up. I think they are up there in the second tier of DE hall of famers amongst the likes of Hayes, Kempthorne, Murray etc.
No DT's or ILB stand out for me this year
OLB - Connell - 7th year eligible - 1 x ring, DROY, 2 x 1st team, 2 x 2nd team, 1st all time in tackles, 1st all time in assists, 6th all time in picks (amongst OLB)
I like the body of work that Connell put in. He doesn't have the rushing numbers but as a pure tackler in a 4-3 on the outside and decent in coverage, I think he merits a discussion.

With regards to CB's and Safeties, I'll let someone else take the lead on that. Unless someone is willing to give me a definitive guide in what stats to look at.

I think a 100 QBR is worth around 93-94 in this version? I think Delcorio chances are laying squarely on that 100 QBR. No rings, raw yardage isn't all that. He looks destined to be the best never to make it or weakest in the HOF kind of guy to me.
Hartman's claim has equal QBR, and 3 rings (can't really count the 4th one as that was all Causey). The raw yardage totals are weak. The beginning and end of his career were weak, but I guess the QBR paints the overall picture. I think Hartman's QBR of 101.5 regular season versus 108.5 in playoffs is his biggest strength. Rare for a player to have a higher playoff QBR. He was a clutch player, but arguably a system QB. He doesn't fit the traditional mould of a HOFer, poor raw yardage versus exceptional playoff performance.
Comparing these guys is a matter of weighing up Hartman's -9000 yards versus his superior playoff performance for me.
