I will be donating a kidney tomorrow morning, so not sure how much I'll be able to access computer over next couple days. Likely to be released from hospital on Sunday, so guessing I'll be back soon after. Not sure what to expect on recovery, so may be a few more days away if I'm feeling shitty.

My brother Chris is doing great. He was up walking around this morning. Tried to get him to go bowling but it sounds like he only brought panties with him to the hospital so he had to decline. Right now he should be home tomorrow ready to begin another 8 - 8 season. Wack

We are lucky to have people like you around Chris. I give blood but this is a totally different level.

Thanks guys! (Except WackaJackassad00)
Things went really well. I'm doing good, albeit sore, and my aunt is doing fantastic. Definitely a risk dwarfed by the reward.

I always wondered and had really No Hero to ask...tell us So why does the giver suffer more hands mic to hero! It's because the giver has it removed laparoscopically, and the receiver has traditional surgery. While laparoscopic comes with less risk of surgical site infection, there is WAY more repositioning of internal bits during the procedure. That, combined with the fact that they basically inflated me for the procedure, means that there was a lot more "trauma" involved.
That being said, once all the excess gas leaves my body (a few days), and all the internal bruising subsides (a couple weeks), I should be back to feeling normal again.
