Nearly all of his bars are quite far left and below where you think they should be. 2 bars (the masked pair) were quite far right. That was the potential sign of a masked player

A masked 2 WR might look like this, excuse the poor drawing

I would have to find the thread but awhile ago someone checked and the other way is not a tell.
You could still have masked pairs at 5 and still have the other bars up or creep. It is not a sign of death.
Also masked pairs have to have other tells. The combines have to be over the medium threshold, no zero bars, no dissenting combines.

I have never understood this stuff
I think there was a version of FOF in the distant past where this was such an obvious effect it taught all the guys playing then…and that doesn’t include me

It was much more noticable before. The bars were 100 and every other bar was like 30 but the guy had mediocre combines. It is more hidden now but another tool to throw in to the confusion of drafting.

I have felt like the takeaway was more like: in a sea of randomness and un-trustworthy rookie bars, when you see the two bars from one of these noted pairings that are identical, especially when they stand out from the rest of the array... take them more seriously than you otherwise would.
Edited to add: I am not often accused of being a drafting sharp, so take that for what it's worth, potentially very little

when talking about masked pairs and masked players, one has to consider that only a dozen of them will be present in a given draft class. and a lot of times it will be a 20 rated guy unmasking to 45 -- not bad, but not a stud. so it's not a general strategy to be applied to the majority of players.
since fof8 at least (maybe in 7 as well), there's multiple masks in addition to masked pairs. malcpow discusses some of them in the link above, and looking at this draftees in ihof provide some clues to others.

Ah, so in essence I’m taking masked guys in UDFA when they appear as 27/27 guys? So they are some of the bar patterns I should try and pay attention to
