1.16 - PHILADELPHIA - WR - WILL WILLIAMS - MICHIGAN STATE
PRO'S: Hands. Moves the chains. Speed
CON'S: Picking up YAC. Going over the middle. Size
OVERALL: Williams looks to be a decent receiver. Slightly above average in most skills, but not great in any. He should be a good #2 in Philly.

1.7 - TAMPA BAY - RB - MARSHALL ARMSTRONG - TOWSONPRO'S: Excellent combines. Speed. Power. Kick returns. Special teams. CON'S: Vision. Elusiveness. Hands. OVERALL: Armstrong had a great showing at the combine, but his game film showed him having trouble breaking free and getting through the line. He has trouble hitting the holes and isn't a very shifty player. When he does get free, he breaks long runs. I see him as a 10+ yards gainer or a -5 yard guy. He's going to be hit or miss. He doesn't have great hands, so being used as a receiver out of the backfield may be tough. Because of his combines, he may surprise and become a much better player than we saw on film. GRADE: B- I had him VU and was very sold on him. I thought he would fly under the radar a few picks more so that i could snag him. I think he s the 2nd best back taken in the 1st, so at his place. Congrats again Wille. In hindsight i m glad i took the NT to stop him.

Guess we'll see soon enough or we'll have another back pick up the slack in that department.

Always look forward to these, although for the 2nd straight year I've traded out of the first. Maybe I'm scared of a bad grade.

Great to see a Mayock feature.
Patriots needed a QB and when Greathouse was available I felt we had no choice but to take him. Don't expect him to be anything approaching elite but hopefully behind a good line he'll be good enough. Apart from a couple of years of Cam we've had nothing there since TB12. No pressure Caleb!!
The LB was just too studly to pass on. He could be a game changer from that position.

1.17 - MIAMI - WR - GLENN DIXON - MISSISSIPPI STATE
PRO'S: Route running. Speed. Courage.
CON'S: Moving the chains.
OVERALL: Dixon is a speedy guy that will play well flanked out. He doesn't show the strength to play in the slot and go over the middle, but he runs precise routes, gets open and can go deep. We saw too many times on film that he struggled on 3rd down moving the chains. He should fit in well with Andersen's big arm.

1.18 - JACKSONVILLE - QB - WILLIAM GAYNOR - SIENA
PRO'S: Great arm. Senses the rush. Sees the field. Timing
CON'S: Accuracy. 3rd downs. Late game heroics.
OVERALL: I really like Gaynor. He can make all the passes, from the screen to the long bomb. He times his receivers out of their routes, but isn't always as accurate as you'd like. So his completion percentage suffers. He's quick on his feet and can elude the rush to make something out of nothing.

1.8 - WASHINGTON - RB - CHESTER BARBEE - DARTMOUTHPRO'S: Size. Power. Quickness. Hands. Receiving. CON'S: Elusiveness. OVERALL: I had Barbee as the 2nd highest rated back in the draft behind Thomas. I like his quickness to get around the corner. His vision to see the hole and his power to run up the middle. He's got great hands and can be a threat as a receiver. Also, like Thomas, he can stay in and block if needed. He's the big, powerful back that the Redskins needed. GRADE: A+ Really happy to get this grade. I wasn't necessarily 100% sold on him, but he was the best RB on my list at the time. Hopefully "Barbee Doll" will turn out to be the stud back I've been searching for.

1.19 - SAN FRANCISCO - RB - JOHNNIE BUSH - GEORGIA
PRO'S: Speed. Moves the chains. Route running.
CON'S: Vision. Power
OVERALL: Bush can get to the edge, turn the corner and go. He doesn't always get to the openings in time and tends to run for negative yards. But when he breaks free, he picks up chunks. HE got a great sense for the 1st down marker whether it's running the ball or catching it. If you need to convert on 3rd down...get him the ball.

1.20 - GREEN BAY - WR - GINO CLEMMONS - WAKE FOREST
PRO'S: Speed. Size. Route running. Adjustments
CON'S: Poor bench
OVERALL: For Clemmons size, he had a terrible bench at the combine and that shows in his film. He doesn't like going over the middle. That's his only flaw, but in the pro's, that's a big one. He's got the skill to run great routes and then break away for a big gain. He makes great adjustments on poorly thrown balls to make his QB look good. But that bench really makes me nervous that he may not reach full potential. I hope I'm wrong.

1.21 - CHICAGO - S - GARRETT WILLIAMS - CENTRAL MICHIGAN
PRO'S: Tackling. Coverage. Ball hawk
CON'S: Vision. Hitting
OVERALL: Williams had a great combine, but his play on the field didn't match that. His vision to see the play has let him down, but when you throw in his direction, he'll get the ball. He plays very well in man 2 man and up on the line. Would probably do well in a switch to CB because of how well he plays bump n run.

1.22 - LOS ANGELES (A) - DE - LAMONT BURROUGHS - KENTUCKY
PRO'S: Run defense. Size. Strength. Vision
CON'S: Edge rushing
OVERALL: Burroughs is a big guy (6'7") that can power through the line and get to the QB. He doesn't miss many tackles as he has a long reach and not many backs can escape his grasp. HE needs to work on his swim move to get around the tackle. He can see the play develop and is usual never out of position. We had him as one of the top two DE's in the draft. Great pick this late in the round.

1.23 - PITTSBURGH - G - QUENTIN SHEPARD - ALABAMA
PRO'S: Great combines. Strong. Solid blocking technique CON'S: Conditioning
OVERALL: Pittsburgh is using this 1st round to beef up the offensive line. Shepard is the third lineman taken this round for the Steelers. He's a strong kid that doesn't get pushed aside easily. He can move down the line when pulling or hold his ground to protect the QB. He comes out of college needing to get in a little better shape so he doesn't tire too quick during games or get injured.
