There have been a lot of historically bad trades recently in the NFL, a lot of them conveniently benefiting the Dolphins, but I don't see anything topping the absolute debacle of a trade that the Browns made for Watson, especially when you consider his massive almost fully guaranteed contract. His cap hit is jumping from 19 million to over 63 million next season. If they'd have simply kept Jacoby Brissett, or Josh Dobbs, or Baker Mayfield, they would be in such a better spot just QB wise, but they would also have more cap space to spend and 5 more draft picks including 3 first round picks. Because wait for it… they are TheBrowns

"thefatcat said: Star in the making mark my words" Now...I don't want to incur the wrath of thefatcat, but... A Star? You mean like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson? This is unlikely and unrealistic. This is what Fans do when they are so absorbed by their team that they lose all sense of reality. They forget all about the rest of the League and suddenly Their Player, or Team is the best thing since Running Water. McDaniels was bad...yes. Very Bad. He failed Miserably. Garrapolo hasnt played well this season...No denying that. O'Connell looks promising so far...sure. The Kid played at Purdue and could end up a decent QB. But a Star in the Making? Thats a little bit of a reach imo If you get Lucky, he may end up a 2nd Tier talent at QB Like Jarod Goff, Tua Tagavailoa, Kirk Cousins, Brock Purdy, Or a Solid Veteran like say...Matthew Stafford, Its too soon to say whether he ends up as good as The other QBs drafted ahead of him in the 2023 Draft. You Remember Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson and Will Levis? Thats 16 QBs...My Point is... Instead of making wild claims that the Kid is probably unable to live up to... Why don't you just watch him develop and see how he turns out? I think you're gonna find out that O'Connel is Human, The Raiders are most likely not a Playoff team this season, Pierce may or may not end up with the Job Next Season, If he doesnt a New Coach may also want to bring in his Own QB, and most important of all....Marc Davis didnt just Drink a V8 and figure everything out...He's still a Putz At least he has a little better haircut now

Now...I don't want to incur the wrath of thefatcat, but... A wise man once said never take notice of anything said before someone says "but" Simply put Bob I am an optimist and I think he is by far the best QB we have on our roster. (which after watching noodle arm Jimmy G aint hard) I watched O'Connell in the pre-season games and he had that poise where it looks like the game slows down for him. He's a pocket passer and also got an arm like a missile. I'd have started him week 1 but hey what do i know. He needs a bit more touch on his passing for sure but i think that will come with games. If we keep Pierce and i think that's going to happen he will be our starting QB and maybe Franchise QB for some time and of course we'll win 3 bowls on the bounce.

A wise man would realize that most of what was said in my post was after the word but… not before It’s unlikely that The Raiders win any Super Bowls while Mahomes is playing I doubt Marc Davis will give Pierce the head coaching job next season O’Connell is an interesting prospect but a star is a bit of a stretch imo But Hey… I’m a realist… not an optimist It would be nice to see the Raiders win a bowl Just to see how happy you would be

Gruden back to the Raiders! Not sure that's a good thing. And we are not still paying him!

Lol, yikes. They one upped the Patriots Chargers game. I saw that qb for the Vikings, Dobbs, against the Bears recently. He sucks out loud. And somehow the Raiders offense was worse than one piloted by him today.

Yeah he was mad at the refs. He said in the postgame press conference that they ruined greatness that this will affect Kelce's hall of fame legacy and all sorts of crazy shit.
