I like popping back for a listen on the AFC North and seeing how the other teams are doing etc. I left the Browns with a solid young QB 54/60, a 75/75 god of a TE, Symbrowksi the highest rated WR in the league, 2 x 60/60 WRs and OL all rated 57/57 or above with good bars but no HB plus 5 or 6 1sts over the coming 3 years, what the f-ck has happened to my old Browns, can someone explain please?

I think your conversation about the Jets, focusing on chemistry and cohesion, is pretty much on the money. We have pushed in heavily on chemistry, obviously, and it's hard to separate that effect out from whatever else we have going on.
I think it's fairly certain that the Jets benefit from that undergirding, but "it wasn't enough" is a fair summary. Injuries are part of the game, and is we're carrying so many injury-prone players it's a built-in liability, then that's fair as well.
Always enjoy the digging in, gentlemen.

I love talking about the jets, because they are such an interesting team. On paper, when you just look at player overalls, you wonder how you guys win so much. But, as we know, there’s so much more to it. Interesting and cool squad

About the special teams part. I do set my special teams and yet my OL is still in a lot of special team plays, I guess the game puts OL players in special teams units where its needed like FG's or Punts. However if you don't select them they probably won't be on the coverage unit or kick offs.
Thats just what I think after glancing over my team, as I know that I set my special teams

If you check the box score you can see who the game is playing in ST. It does seem the game has a mind of its own to some degree, although setting encouraged will greatly increase the chance of a player being on the field. It doesn't appear we have direct control. Setting your favoured 10 or so guys does appear to be the best way forward. Setting OL guys to encouraged will likely take snaps off the guys you want on the field.

I have always looked at it from the perspective that you can't keep OL off ST, so you might as well pick the ones you want to do it, but I will have to go look and see if that means mine are playing too many snaps now.

Oliver is my favorite story for us this season, and my QB Browning is my least favorite.. Browning had a slight VSOD in PS2 that turned him from a potential top 12 starter to borderline journeyman, meanwhile Oliver came back from a serious knee injury to not only hold his ratings but get significantly better. When he got hurt he was an intriguing coverage decoy who could catch a couple balls a game, now he is a solid possession receiver with enough big play ability to have the kind of season he did as essentially our number 1 WR.
I have to echo the sentiment that Rob is doing a hell of a job with the new Steelers.
