I am not a fantasy football player, or a big stats guy. What confuses me about this particular situation is that seemingly any metric you use Gamboa had a better year than Brennan. QBR, more TDs, less INTs, higher completion %, more 300 yard pass games. So what is it that puts Brennan over the top? Brennan is a dual threat, he has the most rushing yards by a QB and the most rushing TD's by a QB : Ah, I didn't look at that. Ok.

If anyone has suggestions on how to amend the scoring/alter things then I'd always love to hear it, same thing with trying to find a way to incorporate OL too. I’m assuming there’s no real penalty here for CBs who give up catches? Dennis gave up over 50 catches this seasons without enough passes defended or INTs to really make up for that.

This is the current defensive scoring system: So yes, it doesn't seem as if DB's/LB's would be punished for aspects of pass coverage - however, there is a 'Caught_Against' column in the regular CSVs which correlates to the number seen in game, so something could be implemented for that. What do you think would be a suitable penalty? There is also another potentially interesting column in the extra CSV too called "ReceptionsOf20YardsPlusGivenUp" which could be incorporated for a stricter penalty (your DB in question gave up 5 of these this season, so I guess 8.77% of his 'CaughtAgainst's' went for 20 yards+) - again, happy to implement something for this too if people have a suggestion for a reasonable value!

For every pass caught againts, it's -1. Although, that part of the game has always been tricky. Cornerbacks will almost always give up more catches than safeties, and sometimes a CB is credited with giving up a ctach, but it's for 0 yards. Is that really a negative?

Not sure for point values. Maybe -1 point for catches of 20+ and -.5 points for any catch? Don't know if that's overly harsh or not.
